It all began with an M105 electric sliding head lathe and Bosch as the first major customer. The fleet was steadily expanded, while the customer base continued to grow.
Due to the increase in major customers and new electricity and index machines, space became scarce, which led to the relocation to Sulz-Schillerhöhe and the sale of the Gasthof Ochsen and its property.
With the establishment of a second pillar in the cable gland sector and the expansion of the customer base, the company was renamed wafi – Walter Fischer GmbH & Co. KG. After the handover to the second generation, production and administration moved to Sulz-Kastell in 2009.
For three generations, wafi has stood for consistency and innovation. The third generation is already firmly established in the company and is continuing the success story which began over 70 years ago, with fresh ideas. With a strong foundation of tradition and vision for the future, wafi looks confidently to the coming decades.
